The clerk, like every other church officer, is a ministering servant of God. Every Christian believer is called to ministry, gifted by the Holy Spirit, and in baptism ordained for ministry (Ephesians 4:11-12).
Duties of the Church Clerk
The church clerk serves as the secretary to the church board and business meetings; maintains an updated list of church membership; maintains all church records and lists of all committees and chairpersons, and regular updates of the church directory.
